Thursday's post - posted Friday because I was out late Thursday.

Today was another big day as Johanna had her first doctor's visit. She is officially 20 1/2" long now, and weighs 7 lbs. 6 oz. She's almost huge! Unfortunately, the visit also came with a bit of pain - 3 heel sticks to get enough blood for her PKU! Bad naturopath, bad! I kinda felt sorry for the student doctor as a doctor, resident, and two other students where watching her try to squeeze enough blood out of a screaming baby's foot.

Cindy and Judy from Felida came by to see Johanna. Cindy is the tech clerk; we've worked together for 6 years.

Erik Killian also stopped by and gave Johanna a book - Maurice Sendak's Where the Wild Things Are. I know Johanna will never be bad, sent to bed without supper, and throw a fit in her room like the boy in the book, because she is a perfect little girl. One thing we will never be is short of books - daddy has 11,000 he can bring home any time he wants!

The night ended with Sheryl and Cedar attending the Last Thursday celebration at Alberta street - NCNM's international group had a photo exhibit there. They went looking for my friend Gary Simundson at the Onda Gallery, but did not see him.
